Suzanne Scalise joined the Loyola law faculty in 2011. Professor Scalise graduated magna cum laude from Loyola College of Law, New Orleans, where she was a William L. Crowe, Sr. Scholar. During law school, Professor Scalise was a member of the Law Review and the Moot Court Board. She earned her bachelor's degree in fine arts from the University of New Orleans, and she earned her teaching certificate from Southern University of New Orleans.

After law school, Professor Scalise served as a law clerk to the Honorable Carl J. Barbier and the Honorable Mary Ann Vial Lemmon on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. Professor Scalise worked as an attorney in the firm of Gordon, Arata, McCollam, Duplantis, and Eagan, L.L.C. Thereafter, she worked as an attorney in the firm of Stanley, Reuter, Ross, Thornton, and Alford, L.L.C. Immediately prior to joining the Loyola law faculty, Professor Scalise worked as a central staff attorney in the Louisiana Supreme Court.
