2012 Alumni Timothy David Ray Appointed Clerk of First City Court of New Orleans

Timothy David Ray, J.D. ’12, now serves as Clerk of First City Court of New Orleans.  He was officially appointed April 25, 2018 by Judge-Elect Ellen Hazeur, who previously served as the court’s clerk.  Ray is a Louisiana attorney and serves on the faculty of the University of New Orleans in the Political Science Department.  A native of New Orleans, Ray earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance from Dillard University and a Juris Doctorate degree with an advanced certification in International Law from the College of Law. He completed training to become a certified mediator and negotiator at the Institut für Anwaltsrecht in Berlin, Germany.
